A Family Run Care Home
Picture
Garson House is a family run Care Home.
Russell & Betty Boundy bought the Home in 2006.
Since 2021 eldest son Charles has taken on the Management.

Our Staff
Our staff go through a comprehensive 12 week induction which includes completing their care certificate, they are trained in not only mandatory training but throughout the year they complete courses which help them in promoting independence and knowledge about illnesses such as strokes, diabetes, dementia, parkinsons and mental health illnesses among others.
They are guided under management to promote independence and help residents maintain dignity and equality as well as being a part of the community.
Our staff are taught to respect our residents in their home as well as join them in activities daily. Because we are a small home, our staff have the advantage of getting to know each resident very well as an individual.
Our staff also work closely within our multidisciplinary team of doctor, nurses and physios.
Charles Boundy
Owner

Charles took on the Ownership & Management of the home in 2021. Garson House was his Mother's pride and joy, sadly we lost Betty to cancer in 2023, Betty's retirement dream was that our Care Home gives our elderly residents, the respect and comfort they deserve at this time of their life. Charles takes pride in following this through
Prior to coming to Garson House, Charles worked as an Inspector for the Food Standards Agency, since then he has worked hard to learn his new role.
Nicky, Charles' wife, has recently joined the Team in an Administrative Role.
Outside the Care Home, they enjoy country life on Exmoor. They have 3 sons Marcus, Fraser and Matthew and enjoy watching the boys play rugby in the Winter and cricket in the Summer

Jackie Holland
Home Manager

Jackie trained as a nurse at Kingston upon Thames, Surrey in 1982.
Moved to Devon in 1998 and worked as a Nurse at the Tyrrell Hospital in Ilfracombe for many years until just before it closed.
She has a degree in podiatric science and has, in the past, enjoyed working at North Devon Hospital and North Devon Hospice.
She then decided to take her Management and Leadership L5 course and have since managed several care homes always endeavouring to ensure residents have choice and control in how they live and thrive in their home.

Jackie has a large and lovely family with lots of very happy, but noisy, grandchildren which keep her busy on her days off.
She likes to go to church on a Sunday morning, then get out in the garden and try keep up with her floristry work when time allows.
